I grew up in Pasadena, graduated from Fairfield and moved back to Deer Park once I was married in 2008. In 2010, I was diagnosed with three herniations in my lumbar spine and canal stenosis, a degenerative spinal condition causing narrowing of the cushion around the spine. I was in debilitating pain, at times not able to walk because of the nerve entrapment. I was told by doctors that medication and surgery were my best options. Instead, I learned to manage the pain with self-care practices, ice and heat cycling each for 20-minute increments. I also used Epsom salt daily to help with pain relief and to draw waste from the tissues. Self-massage and icy hot were used generously. It was a long road to recovery, about 5 years learning to listen to my body and rest when necessary. Along the way I started practicing Yoga. I gained strength through running and lifting weights. It was all a balance of give and take and taking breaks when my body wasn't ready. In 2013 I began working towards my Certificate of Technology in Massage Therapy where I fell in love with the healing practice. I graduated in 2014 as a National Technical Honor Society member with a passion to help others recover from injury and to provide a self-care practice that has so many benefits: reduction of muscle tension, improvement of circulation, stimulation of the lymphatic system, reduction of stress hormones, enhancement of joint mobility and flexibility and improvement in recovery of soft tissue injuries, just to name a few. I practiced at a local spa, Beyond Beaute, for 5 years gaining experience assisting a variety of clients through different ailments. From February 2020 to April 2023, I worked in a local office as Operations Coordinator dispatching technicians to serve my customers. I maintained my state license and continuing education and continued practicing keeping my muscle memory active. My mission is to help others achieve wellness through Massage Therapy & Yoga. Living your "best life" can be achieved by feeding your body, mind and soul. I am excited to be able to offer Massage & Yoga as self-care practices to help clients thrive. We only get this one body here on earth, why not give love to our bodies so that they can serve us to the fullest?
